I attended the Il Faro school in the summer of 2016 for 4 weeks and had a wonderful time. My lessons shared with our brilliant teacher Almaz, and Joe, Renata, Alex and Stefan were always engaging, productive and most of all fun! The weekend excursions took us all over the region from Gorizia to Venice and I always felt like there was something new and entertaining waiting around the corner. I couldn’t recommend the course enough to anyone who wants to improve their Italian language, learn more about Italian culture or just have a good time- it really is worth it.”

Cara mia Liviana!

Ti saluto cordialmente. Mi ricordo molto spesso di te, di Almaz e delle altre tue colleghe ma anche dei miei compagni di classe: Joe e Will, Alex e Stefan e anche Silvia, Cecilia e altri. 

Jsem ráda, že jsem se zúčastnila intenzivního kurzu italštiny pořádaného jazykovou školou IL FARO v Caorle. Strávila jsem tam celý jeden měsíc s cílem konečně se rozmluvit :-). To se mi opravdu podařilo a navíc jsem si upevnila znalosti gramatiky. Atmosféra v kurzu byla velmi příjemná, byli jsme všichni jako jedna rodina, což opravdu oceňuji. Odpoledne jsem dělávali výlety, ředitelka a duše školy Liviana, nás provázela po okolí a seznamovala nás s krajem Veneto a Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. Vlastně po celé dny, od rána do večera, jsme do sebe intenzivně nasávali italštinu, nejen tu spisovnou ve škole, ale právě i tu hovorovou, smíšenou s prvky benátského dialektu. Je to už půl roku, co jsem z Caorle odjela, ale stále se mi ve vzpomínkách vrací a mám pocit, že tam mám od té doby mnoho přátel. Díky.

During April break, Sonia Rocca, Italian teacher at Lycée Francais de New York, and John Tasevoli, art teacher, brought Secondary students of Italian to Italy for a week of culture, language and history.
"The trip to Italy comprised a unique mix of school and daily excursions. During the week we stayed in a hotel in Caorle, a seaside resort on the Adriatic Sea. Each morning students attended custom-tailored classes at “Il Faro Center for Italian Language and Culture”. In the afternoons they were led on guided tours exploring the surrounding area of Veneto including Treviso, Portogruaro, Concordia and of course Venice".

Attending the language institute 'Il Faro' was a wonderful experience: the daily lessons were held in small groups, in an ever relaxed convivial atmosphere and the material was nicely suited to the competence of the group members. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn Italian or improve their grasp on the language.

Hello Liviana, please forgive me for not writing to you in Italian, it would take about three times as long, and I am a bit under pressure, timewise. The urge to send you a 'thank you note' is very strong, though, and I want it to reach you sooner rather than later.
I had an absolutely wonderful time with you last week, useful and instructive as well as entertaining, and the atmosphere you manage to create is truly admirable. I feel that I have been among friends, and I do hope that I will be able to repeat the experience next year.

I had recently attended the school IL Faro in Caorle. I would highly recommend this school for beginners through to advance speakers. The teachers spoke in Italian through and through to encourage our confidence in speaking the language. I have never spoken as much Italian in London as I did in Caorle. It was a wonderful experience and I would urge those who are keen to learn Italian and progress to try this school.
Thank you once again to all the tutors and for taking us to the historical sites for the guided tours. Certainly a trip I will never forget!

Im vergangenen Sommer besuchte ich einen eindrucksvollen vierwoechigen Kurs des Sprachzentrums IL FARO in der malerischen Meeresstadt Caorle. Die geringe Anzahl von Schuelern in meiner Klasse, das abwechslungsreiche, authentische Lernmateral und die Kompetenz der stets freundlichen Lehrerin Liviana trugen dazu bei, dass ich in einer lernfreudigen Atmosphaere meine Sprachkenntnisse auffrischen und vertiefen konnte.
Auch der regelmaessige Sprachkontakt mit Liviana, ihren Kollegen und den anderen Kursteilnehmern waehrend der Kaffeepausen oder Ausfluegen halfen mir, mein Italienisch zu verbessern. Nicht weniger nuetzlich waren die taeglichen Hausaufgaben in ansteigendem Schwierigkeitsgrad und mit interessanten Themen ueber soziale und kulturelle Aspekte Italiens.
Sprach- und Landeskenntnisse gewann ich zusaetzlich dadurch, dass ich dank der Vermittlung von Liviana im Hotel "Villa Maria" wohnte, wo ich Gelegenheit hatte, sowohl Einheimische als auch Gaeste aus verschiedenen Regionen Italiens kennenzulernen. Ausserdem ermoeglichte mir die vorzuegliche Verpflegung, viele der kulinarischen Spezialitaeten des Landes zu geniessen.
Die tolle Zeit in Caorle uebertraf alle meine Erwartungen, weil ich dort zum ersten Mal ein intensives Sprachstudium mit einem erholsamen Urlaub verbinden konnte.
