I spent five weeks this summer at the ‘Il Faro’ Italian language Summer School in Caorle. I came to the school with very little knowledge of Italian. By the end of the course, however, I had been able to master all the main points of Italian grammar and was even able to speak with and understand native Italians. The classes were small which meant we had ample opportunity to put the points we learnt in class into practice through lively conversation, and the teachers were all extremely helpful, patient and encouraging. The other students of the school were from a whole range of cultures, backgrounds and ages, which made conversations in class even more interesting and fruitful. Liviana also organised weekly trips to places of historical interest which was a great opportunity to learn more about Italy’s culture and to be exposed to excellent quality Italian. Overall, I couldn’t recommend the Il Faro language school more highly!
